Spongebob's bikini bottoms have been pushed to the LEGO Ideas Review

The most popular sponge of all time just moved his entire city of Bikini Bottom to the LEGO Ideas Review. The design of Spongebob Squarepants - Bikini Bottom was able to collect the necessary 10,000 votes from fans after 57 days. This means that the Vaicko set is the 61st model in the current review phase.
The design is based on the popular animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, which has been in production since 1999 and has since produced more than 515 episodes in twelve seasons. You can also see the sponge and his friends in three films, three TV movies and a musical.
The set consists of three houses: Spongebob's pineapple house, which includes his living room and bedroom, Squidward's house, which includes his living room, bedroom and art room, and Patrick's brick as his living room. The set also includes some other builds, such as the Patty Wagon and Spongebob's Bubbles mode.
The Spongebob Bikini Bottom Set consists of 1,923 parts and comes with six figures of Spongebob Squarepants, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Gary, DoodleBob and Siegbert Schnösel.
We loved this series when our kids were younger, but I still love it today. This seems to be the case for many in the Ideas Community. Two builds have already made it into the review on LEGO Ideas, the Krusty Krab from 2020 and the LEGO 3833 Krusty Krab again last summer.
Both designs were rejected because there was already a Krusty Krab set, as well as a tiny bikini bottom set and many more sets. Because together with Nickelodeon, LEGO created its own theme world. 14 different sets of LEGO Spongebob were released between 2006 and 2011. We are almost certain that this design will not be realized, because a revival of the old theme world is currently not in sight.
