Fancy a little party with LEGO Ideas? Daft Punk performs!
Well, at least we can find their iconic helmets in the LEGO Ideas Review. The Daft Punk - The Robots version of eliot.obrien convinced the Ideas fans after 746 days and collected the necessary 10,000 fan votes. The design is therefore the 28th model in the current assessment phase.

Daft Punk is one of the most iconic and enigmatic music duos of all time. The two artists Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homen-Christo are music producers from France who have won several Grammys.
Daft Punk was founded in 1993 and initially played in clubs throughout Europe. In 1997 they finally released their first album Homework. The duo later released three more studio albums and produced the soundtrack for the film Tron: Legacy. In addition to their music, the band was also known for their unique style, as they always wear a pair of robot helmets that hide their faces, making their true appearance unknown to this day.
The LEGO design shows the artist's two helmets, both Thomas's silver helmet and Guy-Manuel's gold helmet. The helmets are built on stands and therefore serve as exhibits.
The helmets are certainly a cool idea for all fans of the duo. While the LEGO 21339 BTS Dynamite set shows us that music artists have a shot at LEGO Ideas, I don't think the design stands a chance. Daft Punk's latest singles are from 2013; and currently the two should not be as famous as other artists. In addition, the helmets are more reminiscent of the Star Wars series and could therefore lead to confusion at first glance.
