LEGO Fortnite

The current season in Fortnite ends in a few days. Developer Epic Games has held a live event on December 2, 2023, which will reveal not only the details of the new season, but also the other ā€œbig revealā€ at the end of the event, which promises to be called ā€œThe Big Bang" was baptized. Epic Games promises fans of the first-person shooter an unforgettable event.

According to rumors, the makers of the video game will present three new game modes that evening. Two of these modes are likely based on Epic Games collaboration partners.

And this is exactly where it gets interesting for us LEGO fans, because one of the modes should be about the colorful clamping building blocks from Denmark. According to rumors, the LEGO Fortnite creative mode will give fans the opportunity to create scenes using the virtual building blocks and then play with them. Sounds like LEGO Worlds and Fortnite to me. Whether this is true will become clear in a few days at the beginning of December. The evidence certainly speaks for it. More later in the post.

New LEGO teaser released

The official announcement of LEGO's partnership with Epic Games was over six months ago. Little has happened since then, at least publicly. Rumors about LEGO Fortnite building sets keep popping up, but so far they haven't materialized. According to the press release, both companies have entered into a long-term partnership. In any case, it sounds to us that both LEGO and Epic Games need to do some homework first, so that the collaboration can take visible shape. And that homework seems almost finished. A few days ago, the LEGO Group released a new teaser for the collaboration online, raising fans' expectations even further.

In any case, the timing was perfect for the live event on December 2, 2023. We strongly assume that in addition to the collaboration with Eminem and Lewis Hamilton, there will also be concrete information about the LEGO Collab that evening.

Fortnite age rating adjusted

Perhaps it also fits in with the 'homework' that Epic Games revised the age rating in the most recent game update. The game itself is approved for children aged 12 and over. Until recently, this was also the case for Fortnite's creative mode. After the update, it now has an age rating of six years. According to Epic Games, this was done to make the so-called ā€œCreative Mode contentā€ accessible to younger players (greetings from Minecraft)

We can well imagine that this adjustment would also be in the interest of the Danish toy manufacturer ā€“ if not even one of the conditions for the collaboration. As we all know, the LEGO Group attaches great importance to a 'safe play environment for children'. As far as we know, all LEGO games (console and app) are approved for ages six and older.

LEGO Fortnite Creative Mode probably

So if a LEGO Fortnite creative mode is coming soon, the changed age rating could be the starting signal for the visible collaboration between the two companies.

And the LEGO Fortnite sets?

Personally, we no longer believe in that at the moment. As far as we know, there are currently no reasons that would lead us to believe otherwise.

Of course we have other game-based sets:
