The history of COBI building blocks

COBI HISTORY

The company was founded in April 1987, starting with the production of puzzles and board games.
In 1991, a tool department was established in Józefów near Warsaw, and in 1992 the production of COBI plastic building blocks started in Warsaw. In the same year, the company COBERT was founded, which produced injection molds and by 1993 the entire production was located in the "Radość" district of Warsaw.
The high demand for COBI building blocks led to a dynamic development of production and as a result, Plastic Factory COBI SA was founded in 1996 in the Special Economic Zone in Mielec, which started production in 1997.
In 2001, sales offices were opened in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The long-term success of building block sales resulted in new investments and expansion of Plastic Factory COBI SA
Since 2011, production capacity has been growing steadily, allowing the ever-growing demand for COBI building blocks to be met.
On June 1, 2012, COBI SA moved to a new building - the company's headquarters at 11 Jaskrów Street in Warsaw.
COBI SA has been using a new logo since 01.01.2015.
In May 2020, construction of a new wing of Mielec's production facility was completed.
