Er is een mysterieuze 13e LEGO D&D minifiguurcode – maar 2TTOYS weet hoe het zit

There's a mysterious 13th LEGO D&D minifigure code – but 2TTOYS knows what's behind it

A mysterious LEGO Dungeons & Dragons minifigure code has been appearing on some boxes in the UK, but don't panic: you can still find all 12 characters with Brick Search.

The Brick Search app currently has confirmed and verified codes for every 71047 Dungeons & Dragons minifigure in the US, and the team is working hard to verify the codes in the UK and EU. If you scan a D&D box with Brick Search and it comes up with a single character, then that's what's inside, there's no doubt about it. But if you scan a particular code that's popping up all over the UK, you'll get a slightly different result.

In addition to the 12 codes unique to each character in 71047 Dungeons & Dragons, the Brick Search team has received multiple reports of a mysterious 13th code belonging to Tasha the Witch Queen of Szass Tam, so there's a 50/50 chance of what's inside.

You won’t be left wandering around in the dark, though: the 2TTOYS Team has already identified the code in question, so if you find it and scan it with the app, you’ll be prompted with a message telling you that you’re holding a rare Dungeons & Dragons box that could contain either Tasha or Szass. Based on the reports so far, it seems more likely that it’s Tasha, but the code has also been used for Szass.

We keep a tally to determine which of the two is most likely, so if you come across this elusive code and decide to roll the dice to see what's in the box, we can let you know which is the most likely chance.

It's hard to say at this point whether this code will appear in all production runs of LEGO 71047 Dungeons & Dragons or if it has accidentally hit UK store shelves, but we've reached out to the LEGO Group for clarification. If this code only ends up appearing in this initial production run, that 13th code may prove to be a elusive collectible if you're trying to collect them all...

Remember, this doesn’t mean it’s impossible to find Tasha the Witch Queen or Szass Tam specifically: each of those characters also has their own unique code, and if you scan a box and Brick Search tells you there’s one unambiguously inside, that’s the one you’ve found. It’s just that villainous 13th code that returns the 50/50 message.

LEGO 71047 Dungeons & Dragons officially debuts at 2TTOYS on September 1st, but the set is already available for pre-order.

Make sure to download Brick Search on Android or iOS before you head out so you're ready to scan for your favorite characters.

What's this with a 13th LEGO D&D code?

In addition to the 12 regular codes that are unique to each of the characters in 71047 Dungeons & Dragons, the Brick Search team has received multiple reports of a mysterious 13th code in the wild - and it may belong to either Tasha the Witch Queen or Szass Tam. The most likely option at this point seems to be Tasha, but the code has been used for both characters so far.

How do I know if I have a mysterious LEGO D&D box?

You don’t have to guess yourself if you have the bonus code. If you come across it and scan it with Brick Search, the app will know and tell you right away that this specific box could be Tasha the Witch Queen or Szass Tam. If you scan a box and it tells you that you have one of those characters specifically, that’s great news, you’ve picked up the unique identifiers for that minifigure and don’t have to roll the dice to get one of them.

Can I still guarantee that I'll find Tasha the Witch Queen and Szass Tam?

Yes - both Tasha the Witch Queen and Szass Tam have their own unique codes that can be used to identify them individually. If you come across one of the codes unique to either Szass Tam or Tasha the Witch Queen, Brick Search will show you a specific minifigure, guaranteeing which one is inside.
