As the whole world strives for renewable energy, we can all cycle towards a more sustainable future. Cycling does not emit greenhouse gases and is one of the most environmentally friendly means of transport. It is also a very fun way to exercise. This model has a very good balance between technical and system building blocks. When I designed the model, my main goal was to capture all the mechanical functions of a real bicycle, including the drivetrain, front/rear brakes and working freewheel. It was quite a challenge, especially to make the bicycle frame sturdy enough to support the rest of the model. Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with the end product and the flawless driving mechanism. I can't wait to share this build with the rest of the LEGO community. I believe this working bicycle model will appeal to a wide audience, ranging from curious young children to nostalgic adults. This build is the perfect size for a display model. At less than 1,000 pieces, it's also the perfect medium set for LEGO newcomers, both in terms of price and building experience.
