The Panzerkampfwagen VI, or Tiger, was a German heavy tank of World War II. The characteristic shape is still recognizable all over the world. The vehicle itself has become legendary and is still present today, not only in historical material, but also in pop culture. The first examples of the Tiger were delivered to the front near Leningrad and to Tunisia in August/September 1942. The tank designed and produced by Henschel was very modern and efficient. Unfortunately, its production has cost enormous amounts of valuable raw materials and time. The Tiger I tanks and the few Tiger II tanks had a major influence on the course of hostilities. The Tigers' infamous and spreading terror destroyed more than 10,300 Allied tanks and 11,380 guns with losses of only 1,725.
