LEGO 7169 Mark Surge

7169 Mark Surge is a LEGO set from the Hero Factory, released in 2010. The set includes a small blue hero with a yellow head and core.

Surge, a rookie recently built in the Assembly Tower, uses two lightning bolts, identical pieces with silver handles and translucent yellow lightning bolt blades. He has yellow-green eyes, a yellow-green hero core, blue armor, and silver limbs. Like Furno and Breez, but unlike the three Alpha Team members, Surge has two arm pieces. His body armor is the same shape as Furno and Breez's. On the back of the bus you can see him fighting Corroder.

The youngest newcomer to the Hero Factory team, Surge is a bit clumsy, but very competitive. He is short-tempered and secretly believes that he will one day become evil, courtesy of a flaw that he believes was built into him. Surge often has trouble landing his hero pod, but his skill at manipulating his electric shield, armor, and lightning weapon makes up for this. His quote is "Yeehaa!". He fought against Von Nebula's followers and was later promoted to a full-fledged hero. On the back of the bus is a picture of Surge fighting Corroder.

A silhouette published in the Hero Factory guide in the July–August 2010 issue of LEGO Magazine showed him holding his lightning bolts in one hand. This is believed to be his Lightning Shield.
A Hero Factory magazine released in July states that Surge was built with a flaw and is afraid of siding with evil.
Mark Surge's head is lime green, while his core is yellow.
The lightning on his weapons is made of rubber.
Surge's dual lightning weapons are intended as a single blaster.
Surge is re-released as 2141 Surge 2.0 in the 2011 storyline.
