Missing LEGO bricks... what now?

My new LEGO set is missing some bricks, I have lost a few. What now?

If you find a defective or damaged toy or defective or damaged LEGO bricks in your order, LEGO will replace them free of charge or reimburse the costs.

Such cases will be handled by LEGO in accordance with consumer protection legislation. The reason why this has to be done via LEGO itself is because they want to keep track of which sets contain defective parts, or which sets are missing bricks.

Please keep defective or damaged items until you receive your replacement. This is important because LEGO may ask you to send the items to their quality control department for inspection. After all, LEGO wants to ensure that the problem does not occur again. If LEGO asks you to ship an item to them, they will pay the shipping costs, either in advance or once you provide them with a shipping invoice. This depends on the circumstances.
