LEGO 8636 Deep Sea Quest

LEGO 8636 Deep Sea Quest is a LEGO Agents set released in 2008. The set included an Agents submarine and Dr. Inferno's boat. Both vehicles have their own miniature submarines. It comes with four minifigures and an octopus. The minifigures are Break Jaw, Slime Face, Agent Charge and Agent Chase.

The set contains several water vehicles. The largest is the main submarine. The agent's submarine has several features, including an opening missile bay with four snappable missiles, an opening front to store treasure, and a detachable miniature submarine. The submarine driver can enter the submarine cabin through an opening and closing windshield. The driver can drive it from behind the glass. There is a periscope on the top of the cabin so the operator can see what is above the surface just before surfacing. The submarine is mainly powered by two propellers in the center of the body.

The miniature submarine that separates from the large one is powered by a single propeller in the front center of the submarine. The submarine has two small cannons on top. Other than that, it has no other defense. The diver is pulled through the submarine by holding on to two handles at the back.

Dr.'s boat Inferno is the second largest vehicle in the set. It features a spring-powered rocket and four rapid-fire rockets. It also includes several small details such as a rotating light on top of the cabin, an antenna, engines at the rear and barbed wire at the front

The smallest of the vehicles is Dr.'s mini-submarine. Inferno. It has two gripping arms on the front to grab treasures. It is powered by Slime-Face.

The set also includes an exclusive glow-in-the-dark octopus and a treasure chest with various LEGO crystals.

Background
Dr. Inferno's henchmen Slime Face and Break Jaw try to steal a sunken treasure. The agent's job is to get there first and recover the treasure before the henchmen can.

Notes
This set was released approximately five months after the release of the other six missions, along with 8637 Mission 8: Volcano Base.
In one of the LEGO Magazines of 2008, this set was featured on two pages as "Find The Differences" to find the differences between the two
