Background
Bag End was the Hobbit Hole where Bilbo Baggins and Frodo Baggins lived. After Gandalf took Bilbo on an adventure, it was believed that Bilbo was dead and that the Sackville-Bagginses were the ones who took over ownership of Bag End. However, Bilbo returned and went to live there again with his cousin Frodo. After Bilbo went to live with Elrond and Frodo left on a quest to destroy the One Ring, Bag End was sold to the Sackville-Bagginses, but after the Scouring of the Shire it was returned to Frodo by Lobelia Sackville-Baggins. When Frodo left for the Undying Lands, his friend Samwise Gamgee was the one who inherited Bag End and lived there with his wife Rosie Cotton.
